  • Seattle Aquarium: The Seattle Aquarium’s Ocean Pavilion is now open! This expansion features over 3,500 animals and plants: sharks, rays, schooling fish, mangroves, nearly 30 species of coral and so much more.

 

  • Waterfront Projects: Construction of Seattle’s new waterfront is underway and will continue into 2025
  • Pier 58 (Waterfront Park): Currently known as Waterfront Park, was redesigned to create a public park and improve access and safety, while offering expansive views of Elliott Bay and the Olympic Mountains. An exciting addition to the new Pier 58 design is the playground and the final design incorporates enthusiasm for a sculpturesque playground that is entertaining to all ages, is visually striking, and accessible to different mobility needs.
  • Pier 62: Pier 62 is now open! The rebuilt pier was designed to be a flexible park with views of Elliott Bay, the Olympics and the Seattle skyline. A floating dock provides direct access to the water and includes art by artist Stephen Vitiello. New grating along the seawall increases light to the nearshore salmon habitat below. The rebuilt pier also includes new handrails and embedded LED lighting.

Cruising

  • Cunard: The Queen Elizabeth will begin sailing round trip from Seattle to Alaska with 7- to 11-night itineraries from June 12 to September 25, 2025. Cunard is a luxury cruise line, known for their refined atmosphere, elegant surroundings and traditional cruise trappings.
  • Virgin Voyages: The brand-new Brilliant Lady (still in dock) is coming to Seattle in 2026, offering round-trip Alaska sailings from May to September.  Virgin is an adults-only luxury cruise line with an emphasis on food, wellness and technology throughout the ship.
